The Road Closed To Thru Traffic Sign alerts motorist that the road ahead of them is closed. Drivers are prevented from traveling beyond the sign and often times traffic drums, cones and barricades will phyically close the road. This sign is used when it is necessary for a portion of the road to be closed.
